It maybe easier for you to search by the church records rather than their names, because of the variation in their spelling. If you click on church records, then click on where it say browse church records, then click Co. Kerry, then scroll down to Ballyferriter. Click on baptism or marriage and all the records will come up. So just scroll through them tell you find what your after.

Babs...You have to use variations of surname and christian name and not be too specific in your search terms..

You know the family/families were in Kilquane (Ballyferriter Parish) also Townland of Moorestown (as per Census and Marriage record)
Johanna Shea was from Ballyganeen Townland (its the same Parish)

Ballyferriter Church Records are on the site Maura gave you.....
possible...sister of Fred.jnr.
no other Fred Hutchinson (father) listed for Moorestown..note mothers name...

Fred and Johanna m 1867..Fred was son of Fred Hutchison.
Johanna daughter of Denis Shea.
Fred jnr.was stated as only 16 yrs. at marriage.

Where did you find the Mary Connor being Johanna's mother...?

Babs. I think you may find another complication..have been looking around and find a Fred Hutcheson /Hutchinson (Mooretown) was married to a Bridget Shea..!!
Distinct possibility that Frederick jnrs mother was a Brid Shea.
Also the possibility that Denis Shea was married to a Johanna...so you would have 3 Johanna's

Everyone has been really helpful helping me trace my ancestors. I have been given lots of information but now I am stuck can you help please?

My Grandmother was call Joanna Shea I believe she was born 1881 maried to Michael Shea.As per the above so we know this is correct.

Now heres where I get confused Someone traced back and said they thought her parents were Frederick Hutcheson & Joanna Shea If i am right Frederick was born in 1851 and died 1908 However for Joanna I have a rough date of 1851.

This is the really confusing bit I thought Joanna's parents were Denis Shea and Mary Connor but their dates of birth are 1841 and 1851 respectively this makes them the same age as their daughter!!!

I know how confusing this all sound but I have 2 grandmothers called Joanna my great grandmother and grandmother.

I have tried to trace the correct ones can anyone help. Going to Ireland on 22nd would love to try and make sense of it.

Hi I am trying to find details on my grand parents Michael & Johanna . They were parents to my mother Elizabeth Oshea her siblings were Sheamus, John, Johanna, Nell, Mary, Kitty,Mick, peter,& one other cant remember their name.
My mum was born in 1924 in Dingle co Kerry the family lived in Kilquane.I cannot trace any details on my grandparents on any site it doesn't help that I do not have their dob or date of death.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
