Hi Maddie, I agree with you that she must be their granddaughter. Can't help feeling Rachel and William are her parents as they appear on 1901 census as living in Hackney and didn't marry until 1890. Think Mabel was born out of wedlock. Thanks for you reply Whoo thanks Maddie just saw you second message, where did you find that??? now all is becoming clearer.

looking at this census all the other children were born in cambridgeshire and they lived in cambrigeshire in 1881 and 18901 more than likely their grandaughter

HI Guys. Help, i've hit a brick wall and hope someone may be able to help. Mabel born Hoxton London 1886 and shows on 1891 census as living with her Grandparents Robert Ogden and Susannah nee Green in Cambridgeshire. On the 1901 census they are listed as her parents? The only birth i can find shows parents as Robert and Rachel nee Green. On her marriage certificate to Robert Percival Flack her father is listed as William (policeman) deceased. One of Roberts children was Rachel who married a William Tyler and he was a policeman.very confused but i'm wondering if Rachel is actually her mother but wasn't married at the time of Mabel's birth? Any thoughts or suggestions would be most appreciated as it's driving me mad!!! :-S
