If they survived the war, there may be Liberation questionnaires for them (filled in by the men themselves). For the POW held in Japan, there might be a record card for him. All of this is at the National Archives in Kew - you'd have to go there or get someone to go for you.

You might find some info at the national Archives, i understand Japanese prisoner of war records are a bit iffy, you might have to go there,

Do you have access to Ancestry ?

There is this database:
UK, British Army Prisoners of War, 1939-1945

No way of knowing if the right person or not but the location is wrong

Its the actual POW info im after.
We think Henry was born in the Manchester area in 1917, but i have no further info on George.

Maybe if you put his (near as damn it) year of birth/death and where (Country/County)....you might get a response from our helpers.

Could anyone please point me in the right direction. I would like to know where i can access info on George Buckingham who was a pow in Japan and Henry Connolly, who i think was also a pow but i dont know where.
Would be grateful for any help.
