Well, that explains it then - he was Charles Graham and not Graham Charles !!!

Thank you Maddie. That's the problem, he is the only one that seems to fit at all. He was born Charles Everard Graham on 13th Feb 1908 in Hemsworth reg. The birth cert has gone missing and I was having a stab in the dark.

This comes across as.........Graham Charles......age 2 in 1911.
Hence the confusion.
