The Boyce with no christian name travelling in 1950 was a female going to South Africa. She was born in 1925. There is another, with no name, born 1923, but he was a priest travelling to SA as well.

Alviegal,

This could very well be her ! The plot thickens !! I know that things weren't "going well", something happened, and she returned to the UK. Whether it was just her and maybe a young daughter at that time, I don't know !

Thanks so much for that info.

Her husbands was Leslie William Boyce born 1925. I didn't see his name on the index, but there was a Boyce, no Christian name given, also sailing from Southampton in 1950. Don't know where that Boyce ended up. I knew that they both went abroad somewhere after their marriage, and apparently came back to the UK not long after with a new addition to the family (girl).

Could this be her returning to UK? She was a housewife, travelling on her own to 68 Trafalgar St, Gillingham, Kent. She had lived in Ceylon.

Who was her husband?

Do you have his journey out there or are you looking for it\?

Or, perhaps he didn't go?

My cousin Pamela Elfreda Boyce appears on the Travel & Overseas Record Collection index as - DOB 1929 sailing from Southampton in 1948.
Apparently I've submitted twice for access to the collection this evening, but something is amiss and I'm currently awaiting feedback from the support team. ( never had this problem before !)
I must sound very impatient, but this cousin is the only one of my family who I havn't been able to trace since her marriage in 1946, so the result of finally seeing her name is fantastic, but not being able to find out where she was going, is a bit deflating.
If any kind person can help me out with the above, I shall be eternally grateful.

May thanks
