There are No births in Cumberland for Thomas Steel in 1750.there are 2 one in Sussex and the other is Rotherham.

IGI isn't 100% correct on the years.

Have a look at the IGI for Thomas and Eleanor and tell me what you think...

Also, Eleanor was born in 1754, not 1751

So far, it looks promising, however the baptism date of 1749 can't be right, since he wasn't born until the year after

Hello

I am looking for the parents and death date of Thomas Steel. He was born in 1750 in Cumberland and married Eleanor Turnbal in 1772 at Nichol Forest Cumberland

His children were James Steel, born 1789, Joseph Steel, born 1797 and Jonathan Steel born 1791.

I;m afraid this is all I know at this point, I apologise if this helps very little
