I am trying to locate relatives of John Perry born 1923. He married Pamela Berry and they had a daughter in Canterbury Kent. From what I have found John Perry's father was also called John Perry and was born around 1900.

I would be grateful of any pointers.

Thanks

According to his marriage record he had a 2nd initial, "W". Do you know what his 2nd forename was?

Have you got John's (1923) birth certificate, and the marriage certificate of his parents, and the birth certificates of his parents?
John Perry is quite a comon name, and John W Perry is not unusual, so if you are looking for ancestors you need as much information as possible.
Also, he may still be alive and so not want to be discussed.
Have you looked to see if he is in anyone's tree on here?

What do you mean by 'relatives'?

Hello AnnMarie and welcome to the boards.

I guess you may be looking for any living relatives of John Perry. If you take Patchem's advice and put his name and details into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar), you will see that many members of this site have a John Perry in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner.

There are two John W Perry's in free bmd born in 1923.
You can see them here:
http://www.freebmd.org.uk/cgi/search.pl
You can then search for the marriage of his father, using the mother's maiden name.
If you buy the birth certificate of John W that will help confirm anything found, and then you can buy the marriage certificate of his parents.
You can also search for siblings of John W, with children having the same surname and Mother's maiden name, (possibly 5 or so).

You have not said whether he is definitely dead.
