	Ellieathome This John may be the one BUT not sure about the Norton Canes. I understand from another post that he was born in Leicester. His daughter Rachel was born in 1839 in Leicester so the census info does not seem to tie in. Frustrating isn't it?

	Hi All John was born circa 1818 in Leicester but I cannot find his marriage information. Checked FreeBMD etc and, I guess he may have married around 1838 but that really is a guess. From FreeBMD found Ann Duckworth and Elisabeth Calcraft marrying a John Cockayne (or variations of the surname). What do you think I should try now, as I am not sure these are the marriage partners I was hoping for? He may be listed under another variation of his name as he could not write (gleaned from his daughters marriage cert and census info). Thanks in anticipation.
