Find Ancestors

Am having trouble finding a marriage date for Robert Rozzell born in 1800. His wife's name was Ellen but I don't know her maiden name and obviously can't find that without a marriage certificate. They lived in West Derby, Lancashire. I have details of all their children, but just can't track this down. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated

I cant find one either,so looks like it is the birth cert unless a latecomer finds one.. :-D

Thank you for searching anyway, and for pointing out the obvious to me - what a dope I am! I can't understand why it's so difficult to find the marriage date, unless of course they didn't marry. Loved your first posting which identified a lodger with the spectacular name of David Spud!! Once again thanks for taking the time to search.

They may have married in Ireland for some reason?

Its easy to forget the obvious,I do it a lot.

Thanks Ann. Am forming the opinion that he either didn't marry or as FBG suggests perhaps he married in Ireland. Unusual that would be though as Ellen was from Lancashire, not Ireland.
