Margaret. Given that Cor. (at the time in question) was a Townland of only approx 87 acres in the Glenties then it may not be too difficult to see if we can find James and Mary....providing they stayed there..!!
Yes I love my name too...!!.

Hi Eringobragh. I have been in touch with several of Con's ancestors and they have been able to follow his line back to James and Mary. One of them told me a relative has a family bible that states Con was born Cor, Donegal and his parents were James and Mary. It's a mystery why I just can't find Patrick before 1861. All of my "cousins" are from Patrick and Mary's seven children and all of their research takes on their lines. They all hit brick walls at James and Mary. I live in USA so my research is limited. I really do appreciate you helping me, and I love your name.
Best Wishes Margaret

Margaret...Have you thought to look at Patricks brother Con. for anything that may help determine place of birth..?
Con and Alice were in Blantyre for the birth of Bridget 1881...It may be worthwhile checking out SP for them see if it leads you anywhere...
I have checked on Sp ..Con. and Alice had a Constentine b.1875.

Searching for James and Mary. Could be from Gortahork or Letterkenny, Donegal. James was a farmer or miner. Their sons were Patrick 1838 and Constantine 1843. In doing further research, I believe James and Mary were from Derrynanaspol and Derryconnell, Lettermacaward, Donegal. There are many Devanny's and Kelly's on Griffiths Valuation. However, I can't find proof or confirmation they are my family.
