Find Ancestors

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone with access to FMP would be able to locate a record of the Grenfell family leaving Cornwall for the USA between 1861 and 1870.

The household would have consisted of the following:

John Grenfell - Occupation Zinc Miner born 1836
Constance Grenfell born 1834
and a daughter:

Ada Constance Grenfell born 1861 in Cornwall.

Johna nd Constance were married in Cornwall in1860. I am unable to locate them on the English 1861 Census so they may have been in transit to the US however I can't locate a shipping record on Ancestry.

The family next appear on the 1870 US Federal Census for the Inhabitants of Grass Valley Township, in the County of Nevada, in the State of California.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry,but the migration records on FMP only start at 1890.

She says in a later census that they emigrated in 1865 but the California Passenger lists on Ancestry don't start until 1893.

Possibly John and Constance 1861? John is a tin miner and Constance ?dressmaker I think.

Ancestry have shipping records from 1820 - 1957 but I cant see any of the family going out to the US

Thanks everyone, I have the US census stuff, and the death records, I had just thought maybe there was a record of them somewhere leaving the UK.
