Find Ancestors

Our Edgar Barham was born 1797 Rye (Battle) Sussex. He married an Elizabeth unknown (born Westfield Sussex). They were my wife's great great great grandparents through their son Edgar Barham (1820 - 1887) who married Sarah Easton (1820 - 1896).

I can't find anything about the senior Edgar or his wife Elizabeth so if you have any information etc. I should be pleased to swap trees.

1851 census they were living 21, Mermaid Street Rye Sussex. Edgar was an ag. labourer and Elizabeth a lodging house keeper, she is said to have been born in Westfield. Only Arthur and James at home the rest seem to be lodgers going by all the different occupations of them.

There are a dozen or more family trees on Ancestry for Barhams and all give Edgars wife's maiden name as Hedgecock/Hedgscock

There is a Hedgecock on the 1851 tree submitted by Maddie which has a James Hedgecock aged 73 who I think must be Elizabeth's uncle because according to the trees on Ancestry her parents were Henry 1775-1856 and Mary Maria Mantle 1772-1809

Edgar's parents were Francis 1759-1802 and Silvester Ditch 1759-1802
