Find Ancestors

Hi folks I wonder if you could please help me find John Harris b1854 Shipston, He married Sarah Ann Poulter in June 1871.
John is on the 1881 census with Sarah and they have 5 children, but they just don't appear on any other census.
I have tried to find them through the children but there is none of them coming up at all and I have tried with just there first names.
I have a feeling they may have emigrated but I don't know how to find out.
Could any one with the know how help me please, thank you
