Trying to trace my Grandmother Amy C (cooper) Cross on any docs. My Uncles birth cert says she was born in belper derbyshire. I am trying to find her on any censuses. Any Help would be appreciated.

between 1895b and 1899. Registered as Amy C Cross then she married a John Kane in 1919 in Chorlton Manchester. Thankyou.

If you don't know her birthdate, how do you know she was registered as Amy Cooper Cross ?

I dont know who her parents are. I cant find out why where the 'cooper' comes from and as her birth is registered Amy C Cross and her death Amy C Kane I assume that Cooper is her middle name. My uncles middle name is Archibald and I have found an Archibald Cooper-Cross who died aged 14 in Prestwich, Manchester but nomention of an Amy in the Household! Its driving me mad. I've spent my day off work searching|!

There is no reg for Amy C Cross in Belper between 1890 - 1900

Maybe she is one of these ....
