Find Ancestors

Am looking for information on Arthur WHITE who moved to England between 1861-1871. He is recorded as a Tailor from 81 onwards and has a son Arthur b. abt 1875 in London (also a Tailor). I have found the relevant family but cannot trace anything on the family baptisms, probably as they are RC. They are located in St James Westminster and St Annes Soho. I would welcome any suggestions particularly on baptisms/marriages for RC etc.

Hi Everyone

Many thanks for your responses. I forgot to mention I have them in the census from 1871 (Arthur senior) up to 1911 with Arthur junior. What I cannot locate are any church records, i.e. christenings marriages etc. I have the various official records i.e. GRO refs etc, I simply cannot locate any church records which seems to me somewhat odd! I am assuming, which can be dangerous, that the family were all Roman Catholics.

PS - I have not yet gotten around to ordering any certificates as I only started this tree just over a week ago.

RC churches seem to keep their own parish records - any idea which church it could be? then you can google for it and see what they have
