There is an adoption register from 1927 but I think you need to be next of kin to access it.

I'm trying to find my aunties who were adopted at birth but I'm not too sure where to start, can anyone help? :-S

Madeline Ann ASHURST - Birth 23/05/1942

Kathryn ASHURST - Birth 08/05/1950

Both registered with no father's details
