I am now trying to find out who my uncle Charles W Lewis married, he was born 1921 in Marylebone to May Ada and Charles Glover Lewis, I believe he married a lady called Ike but his might have been a nickname.
No information on where or when but in could well have been London.
Can anyone help.

If they had any children.....the birth certificate of one of them would give you the mothers maiden name.

If they did have children and you know the the details of any that are no longer living.........you can post the details here.

The problem is, there are quite a few marriages for the name Charles W Lewis.
None with a spouse by the name of Ike.

Just want to thank you all for your help, but I don't think I am further forward because as you know getting certificate to verify things is quite costly, so I suppose I am just going to have to wait for now.

If and when you can afford it..........the death certificate will give you the name of the person who registerd it. Maybe his wife or maybe even a son/daughter.

FAIRTHORN I have just read you message and I do thank any one that helps me. I do not want it on a plate because if you read me previous request I do say I HAVE NO INFORMATION AT ALL and it is my business if I can afford £9.25.

How do you know this is actually the right person?
and where does Wiltshire come into this they lived in London

Thank you for the work you have done. All I do know is that they were all born in London either Marylebone or Hammersmith.
I had never heard of my uncle ever being married twice but I have found a letter from another uncle before he died they had a son no mention of any other children and he moved to Devon or Cornwall.
My gran May Ada was born in Paddington, on the 26th November 1894, this I know for a fact.
On her certificate the registrar had wrongly written her name as Mary Ada so a lot of confusion went along with this.
