for real confirmation of George Massey Garner's parentage you need to buy his birth certificate

however if you have it correct this may give you another clue for going back

parents of nephew John Hewitt??

birth date matches that of 1871 census

would guess that the Worcester is incorrect (easy mistranscription from poor handwriting)

Wow that seems to fit in, do you think it likely there to be a mistake made with the birthdate and birthplace (no such place as a newton heath worcester?)

Garner

Garner Report 18 Jul 2011 12:14

No im not 100% that the surname was massey, it was a given middlename for one of the children and heard through the family that this was her maiden name, so likely to be incorrect.

Thanks

Hi, im a new member looking for garners!
So far ive found a George Massey Garner (born 1868) who married Bessie Garner, who id like to find out more about, they lived in the Newton Heath area.

Also Id love to find out about George's parents, Hannah Massey and George Garner who lived on Church Street in manchester and worked as a silk worker.
