Hi Roz, there at least 4 deaths of children with the surname of "New" between 1899 and 1911 who died in Newbury.
Unless you purchase the death certificates of all those that can be found, there is no way of knowing which one was the child of Daniel and Beatrice.
Also taking into consideration of course, that they registered the birth and death of the child that died in the first place.

Roz.

I see you have deleted your other thread !!

Just so folk can see what I posted..

From 1899-1912 both Births & Deaths

There is a Birth for...... Mary New 1901 & Death 1901 Newbury

Also Birth Albert Leonard T 1905 & Death 1905 Newbury.

I think the latter is more suitable as all other children had two names.

Free BMD comes up with these infant New deaths, which narrows it down a bit. Dates of birth might help you narrow it down further?

Death: New Mary 0 Newbury 2c 173 mar 1901

Death: New Lilian Rosina 3 Newbury 2c 157 Jun 1901.

Death: NEW Albert Leonard T 0 Newbury 2c 14[38 Jun 1905

Birth: New Edwin Jack Newbury 2c 264 Jun 1909.

Death: NEW Daisy Annie B 2 Newbury 2c 148 Dec 1909.

New Arthur Daniel Newbury 2c 244

New Sydney Lewis Newbury 2c 242

Births Dec 1904 (>99%)

I think that you can be reasonably confident that the fourth child would have been given two forenames................may help with elimination

The only way is to look on freebmd for infant/child deaths in the area......cross-refer with births, and order birth cert(s).........to find out the names of the parents

The timings of the births you mention would seem to suggest a later birth/death.......but that's only supposition

I hope I am in the right spot to ask for help in finding a birth, If not hope someone can tell me what to do, On the 1911 census it say's that my Great Grandparents had 4 children with 1 deceased, My G Grandparents were Daniel New & Beatrice New (nee Lewis ) married 1898 in Newbury, Had 3 children Arthur brn 1899, Sydney brn 1902 John brn 1904, They left for Australia in 1912, so I am not sure if they had a baby before Arthur or in between the children or if it was the last born, Hope someone can help.
Thanks Roz :-)
