According to several family trees on Ancestry Robert Muir's parents were Alexander 1806-1867 and Margaret A Ditchburn 1803-1867

Marions parents were William Muir 1811- ? and Margaret Wemyss 1816-?
both born in Glasgow

Robert and Marion travelled to Port Chalmers Dunedin Otago NZ aboard the Christian McAusland arriving 26 Jun 1874

The last 3 of their 11 children were born in Shag Point, Otago NZ
