On your grandmother's first marriage certificate, what other details are recorded - Father's names, occupations, ages, witnesses etc? |

Have you got your grandmother's second marriage certificate to see what she claimed on that? It will not necessarily help you at all, but provides a 'rounder' picture. |

Hi I'm trying to locate my grandfather Thomas Leo Howell, married in 1932 age 32 to Eleanor Tibbles in Chelsea - but on my father's birth certificate (born 1935) it says Thomas Leo Gaywood - all I know is he was originally from Manchester - was a milk man in Chelsea, London. My grandmother re-married in 1937 - can't find a death record for either names, no birth record for Thomas Leo Gaywood. If he didn't die before my grandmother married again she could have been a bigamist or they got divorced - any suggestions from anyone. And how do you find out if somebody got divorced |
