Hi
Im trying to find some information about Thomas Alcock born 17/7/1745 and was married to Ann.

The reason why i want to know information about him is because i know he had a son called William born in 1770/1771.

One of my ancestors is also called William Alcock born around the same time and married Elizabeth Bullock in 179?? in Brewood, Staffordshire.

What I would like to do is establish whether this Thomas is related to my William. I have tried searching for Willimas birth certificate but to no avail.

Thanks Ben Alcock

On a previous thread you posted about this family, I advised you to look in search trees and make contact with the other GR member researching them.....have you done so?

No such thing as certs for ANY bmd events prior to July 1837

Hi...

Yes, you are referring to Alan, we have been in regular contact, but we have seem to have hit a brick wall with trying to track the parents of William Alcock..

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I know of two Williams born in Staffordshire in that year, one set of parents were Thomas and Ann and the other Charles and Hannah.... but i have no way of knowing which if any are the right parents.

You will need to look at the Parish records............I rather think Alan has also been given the same advice on a number of occasions.

They will be held at the County Records Office
