I believe this is my several greats grandfather. The only concrete info I have is he was buried 8th May 1795 at St Mary, Rotherhithe, Borough of Southwark, Surrey. There is a number 46, on the far right of the entry but no idea if this refers to his age. I believe that he was a Brewer of Swan Lane, Rotherhithe.

He was married to Mary and they had two sons John born 1791 and Stephen born 1794. After Robert's death Mary married a German man named George Frederick Vorwerg, in 1800.

Can anyone help me find a record of Robert's birth circa 1748 to 1760. I've no idea if Robert was born and bred in the London area or he came from another part of the country. Any info or leads gladly accepted.

Thanks in advance

Steve

think the most likely I have found is: Robert Dobson, christened at St Luke, Old Street on 21/1/1759. Father Matthew Mother Margaret.
This is the only one in the age range, next closest was baptised 1746 in Burton-in-Kendal Westmoreland. Father Richard, Mother Elizabeth.
Hope this helps.
