I have just sent for a birth certificate for charles William Averiss born 1895 in Cheltenham Gloucestershire. It gives his parents as Arthur Averiss and Jane Elizabeth Averiss formerly Beckley. I am trying to find the marriage of these two have found Arthur Averiss marrying in 1892 but not to a Jane Elizabeth. Can anyone throw any light on this with any information please

She may have married after the death of Arthur or reveted back to her former name because i can't spot her in 1911.

Edit: No marriage for a Jane Beckley between 1906 and 1911.

I had a look on the 1911, it seems Jane Elizabeth Averiss married John Clapton in 1907 and has 2 more children by him. Living with them is Charles William Averiss / Clapton
