Can anyone throw any light on William Shaw he was born in Deepcar South Yorkshire in 1899 he was the grandson of Aaron and Emily Shaw, the 1901 census shows him living at Thurgoland south yorkshire with his grandparents, but somehow in 1911 he ended up in a orphanage in Bolton???? many thanks

Thankyou Astra i wondered whos son he was because the 1901 census shows Aaron and Emily and their son Colin and daughter Matilda are both down as being single, thats what threw me but i suppose even in those days girls got up to no good !!! I havent been able to find a death record for Matilda but i was looking in Yorkshire will try Bolton as that seems logical if William ended up in a orphanage their, again many thanks for your time
