Find Ancestors

Hi ,

I am trying to find my Finnegan (Various spellings) in London after 1851 Census.

Family in 1841 - Francis 50, Margaret 49, Francis 18, Elizabeth 17, Mary 16, Caroline 10. All born Ireland.
Family in 1851 - Francis 27, Margaret 61, Mary 25, Elizabeth 21, Emma Finch (Niece) 5. All born in St. George in the East, London.

I have since found 2 other children, who are both accounted for - Margaret b1817, who married Henry John Finch - My direct ancestors!, and Sarah b1818, who married Moses Hickman.

The rest have dissapeared off the face of the planet!!!

2 questions I am asking are: -

1, If they are Irish, how do I find out where in Ireland, especially at this early date of before 1841, and when did they come over to England?

2, Where are they after 1851?

I cannot find them after 1851, other than 2 daughters who married.

Any help would be most welcome.

Sorry can't find a death but you didn't have to register a death during 1841-51

That'll explain wht I cannot find it, then!
