I think the info family gave is correct. She was reg as Weekley cos her parents weren't married BUT her father was Arthur Emms.

Wouldn't mind betting the name Emms is part of that birth cert ie she was reg as Edith M???? Emms Weekley

Hi All,

I'm a little confushed and was wondering if anyone could helps me find out Edith birth surname?

I have been told by the family that Edith Mother Elizabeth Gostelow married John Weekley but also that he died and she lived with Arthur Emms they have told me that Edith's name was Weekley but then the other half off the family have told me that her name was Emms. This has totally confushed me as to who to look for.

Edith was born about 1911, She first married Lawernce Tipper and then Henry Phelps, My husband's Grandfather.

I hope I haven't confushed people to much. Just not sure who to look for.
