For the 1871 we need her maiden name as 1881 she is Matthew's wife. At the moment I can't find a marriage. |

Sounds like Matthew would not have been fit to look after the children. I wonder if he was a bully when he had been drinking, presumably all the housekeeping money, and she was at the end of her tether. |
