Glitter Baby,
Thanks for your reply. I've just changed my heading to ask for a lookup.
Could someone look up the medal card index please?

I'm looking for James SWINDLE - may be under a variation of SWINDALE, SWINDLER or similar.
I've got all his details from the Commonwealth graves commission, but wondering about his medals etc.
He died on 31.7.17 aged 23, at France/Flanders.
He was born in Whitfield, Northumberland.
He was in the 24th Coy Machine Gun Corps Infantry. He was a L/Cpl
Previously been in the 22141, Border Regt.

Thanks.

Ancestry do have the medal cards

The medals, if any awarded, would have been forwarded to next of kin so you might get lucky and find a card

Hi,
Is it Ancestry who have the medal card indexes from WW1?
If so, would someone who was killed in WW1 be on the list?
