It's quite possible they had forgotten what they called their first child (esp if they shortened the name to Lizzy, for ex).

I have a rellie who had 2 children born of the same name 5 years apart, both children survived!

Either the OP has listed incorrect dates or they have gotten a little excited at a match and not really looked at the facts?

marriage for William Pope and Sarah Ball 01/01/1798

but Willam Pope was born 1796 Aston Tirrold? so he was married at the age of 2 years old?

Hi on the parish records for Aston Tirrold and Aston upthrope were the Pope family is living i can only find one marriage for a William Pope and a Sarah which fits Both Elizabeth are born to William and Sarah Pope
between 1810-1815

Aston Tirrold

Elizabet Pope baptism 20/08/1815 d of Sarah & William Pope at st micheal
Aston Tirrold

I have a marriage for William Pope and Sarah Ball 01/01/1798

Willam Pope born 1796 Aston Tirrold
Sara Ball born 1780 Aston Upthrope

I have the parish records for Aston Tirrold and Aston Upthrope but i can not find a burial for a Elizabeth Pope between 1811 -1815
can someone see if they can see it
