Hi.....

Could anyone check the 1911 census for Thomas Newman born Shoreditch c1850? (

In 1901 census..he lived 34 Hampton Square: Mortlake: Widower age 51

There are possibly children still living with him in 1911 - hopefully my grandmother Eleanor - known as Nellie- who would be about 21.

Thanks for any help

Pauline

Hi

I know eleanor is 21 on 1911 census and she is a laundry assistant at treloar hospital in Alton: Hampshire.

She married my grandad in 1915>

It's really Thomas I've been stuck on for a number of years!! A Newman marrying a Newman - nightmare!

Just trying to find if he's still alive in 1911. He was born circa 1850 in Shoreditch. I know his father to be George:
When married to Jane his family show on 1881, 1891 & 1901 census.

Thanks again for all the help: This is first time I've used this on Genes site.

Kind regards Pauline
