Thankyou MarieCeleste - I'll go and have a look now!

Thank you Ann and Sharon for your help, that's really good to know, and confirmed whether some of the children married or not. Thank you.

William Aldous was born 1836 in Colchester, Essex and grew up in Colchester Union Workhouse. Sometime between his marriage to Lydia in 1856 and the census in 1861 he died. I can't find a death being registered in Essex, or a burial in Colchester. I know he could have died elsewhere but even if I found his record, I wouldn't know it was his, unless his wife Lydia was with him.

Hello,

Please could someone look at a public member tree on Ancestry for me. If you search Charles William Aldous born 1857 in Colchester, Essex, the top result you should get for Public member trees is that belonging to georgeandjoan. I would really like to know what info they have on Charles and his family, as I believe I might be able to provide them with info on a whole new side of the family. It's a very important part of my family the Aldous' and I would love to contact them.

Please could someone let me know roughly what info they have on him and his father William Aldous.

Thank you ever so much,
Elissa
