Hi,
Sarah Vevers born 1847 appears on the 1861 Census with her family living in Whitrigg, Fingland, Wigton. I have found her parents on the 1851 Census (Robert & Elizabeth) in Whitrigg, but she doesn't appear to be with them?
There is a Sarah Vevers bn 1847 listed for the 1851 Census. Would someone mind passing on the details of who she is living with.
Thanks again, Jo

Joanne - this is your sixth Vevers posting since May - you really should only have one - GR rulews state one posting per person/family - research has very likely been repeated more than once for you

Hi Ann,
I didn't realise it meant one post for all the "Vevers". I thought I was making separate posts for different branches or even Vevers that I didn't know were connected.
Sorry.
To be honest I have got more addicted to researching and should really save up and subscribe to view all census returns. Although the trade off will be my husband divorcing me as he already thinks I'm obsessed with the dead and should really concentrate on my living family LOL
Thanks for everyones help and sorry for the mistake.

second son was born in 1870
Births Jun 1870 (>99%) Vevers Joseph Toward Carlisle 10b 466
In the 1881 Census, it says he was born Carlisle
In 1901, he says Belle Vue
I think there has been the weirdest transcription of Vevers on the 1871!
I have tried everything I know, but cannot find the family on that census

I think if you search ahrd enough, you will find that Sarah and James were cousins.
The evidence I have found shows that she should be living with James, John and Joseph Toward on the 1871 Census

Thank you so much for all your hard work.
Yes I had found the marriage of Sarah and James on BMD - both Vevers, and yes they are first cousins. Was that allowed then?
I hadn't found the christening for James - thanks for that.
Regards, Jo
