Elaine, I'm not seeing a number 19 on that street - there are some gaps in numbering.

It's very easy to search by address on FindMyPast, and the 1881 is free to see search results, it's only the actual image that you need credits to view.

I am sorry to be a pain.
I have just realised there was another York Street in the Parish of St John the Evangelist in Walworth.
Does anyone have access to the census for that street please?

I had to laugh when I read this. Not one of my ancestors seem to give a correct address on any official documents. The 1911 census is the only accurate record of my Fathers family I have.
The reason I laughed was because his Father was called Brown and his Grandfather is untraceable. For a Lucy Brown to give the same address as my Great Grandfather is almost too much of a coincidence.
I have gone through the 42 pages and can't find them living there.
Never mind I will keep searching.

Thank you for your help. It gives me another area to search.
My Great Grandfather was John Noble, My Great Grandmother was Anne Prescott His date of birth was 1862 hers around 1864.
They were married on 10th March 1884 at St John the Evangelist, Walworth.
They both give their fathers names as William, but the only families I can find in 1881 and before don't match the birthplaces given.
There are another 2 John Noble's born around the same time, living in the same area. One was eventually sentenced to death, the other hails from Peterborough originally.
I am just having problems seperating them.

Sorry, I forgot to mention it is York Street London W1.
I have searched the 1881 census but I don't know how to search by street only by name.
I can't find either of them on the 1881 census. I can find people with their names but none that match what we thought we knew about them.
