Yes, so it seems that the new Skeels was named after his little brother who had died. I have checked all these details and mapped it all out and it does seem a right for everything else I already have in place. |

Sorry, Keeley, that 1838 marriage did not take place in Whittlesey itself - it must have been one of the outlying villages. I checked the transcripts for both CofE churches in Whittlesey - St Andrew's and St Mary's. They could have been non-conformists, I suppose. |

You would think between Genes, Ancestry, FMP and IGI I would have been able to locate something but it has been driving me mad for days! I think everything above looks right so shall order certs and then move onto next problem :-) |

Good find on the parent's marriage Barbara. Certainly seems to fit especially with the Grandfather surname mentioned in the earlier census that Helen has quoted. Also thanks Glitterbaby - that is the same potential marriage I found so I am going to order the certs just to check. |

Thanks Barbara and Thelma. These look like very definite possibilities and I will investigate them more. Should have known it would be a different surname spelling! :-) |

Please can someone help try and find a birth and/or record in 1861 or 1871 census (for parents names) for the following (this is her marriage to Charles Culledge). The only census I can find her in after her marriage shows birthplace as Eye, Northants. Cannot see anything suitable, nor any death under Culledge either (but I believe she could have remarried in 1910 as there is an Eliza Culledge in the right area). |
