I am Morgan Davies" Great Granddaughter - he and Esther Jenkins had ten children, one of
them was Rhys Davies who immigrated to the U S in 1905. The rest of the children who lived
immigrated to Winnepeg, Canada. His father, Evan was a shoemaker. Evan's father was
named David, and was a farmer. According to family legend, Morgan and one brother took the
name Davies, and two brothers kept Peregrine. Are you a cousin? I hope to go Wales next
year and research ancestors and hopefully meet some relatives. By the way, I have copies
from the Davied family bible, made by an in-law from the Canadian bunch in 1965.

In 1901 Esther is noted as being born in "Dewhewyd, Cardiganshire, Wales"

I presume they mean Dihewydd!!! Spent many teenage years and school at Aberaeron and Dihewydd is very close to Aberaeron...... in welsh miles!! Tee Hee!!!
