Please could anybody do a street search for me. i want to no who lived in 99. 101. 103. 105 and 107 Townsend Lane, West Derby, Lancs. around 1901 to 1903.

You can only do census year Jean, so the next one is 1911. Electoral registers give names of adults eligible to vote but not much use before 1919. They are not online for this area.

Any chance you could possibly do it for 1911 then. If you dont mind. I do appreciate your help.

It might be worth seeing if Liverpool Archive/Library have trade directories for the intervening years. They will often give the names of the head of the household.

My Great Great grand fathers wedding Cert stated he lived 99 Townsend Lane when he married in 1906. Long story so will cut it short. My Mum never knew who her real parents were. She thought she was adopted by the family she grew up in. Mum is now dead. But I have found out that the man who we looked on as grandad was her real father. He must have had an affair whilst he was married. and he and his wife brought mum up with their other children Mum was told that they had adopted her,. But I have only just traced my Great Great Grandfather it turns out that he was living at 4 doors away from the house my mum was born 107 towensend lane, she was born in Oct 1903. I have never been able to trace her real mother who's name was formerly Louisa Johnson ( I found that out from her birth cert. and also grandads name was on her birth cert.) Ijust wanted to see if I could find anything else out about those addresses. Incase there was any more links I could follow. Hope I haven't bored or confused you. Thanks for helping me.

Ancestry has Lancashire, 1905 Kelly's Directory. It might be possible to look for family names in there, although its a little confusing on your post, who you are looking for!

Margaret Sloane was one of the witnesses to my great great Grandfathers Marriage in 1906. And her name showed up on 107 Towsend lane on the 1901 census you got for me.

For Robert Sloan in 1900

Detail on Mum s Birth Cert. born 19th Sept 1903. in 107 Townsend Lane. her Mothers name Louisa Williams formerly Johnson, Fathers name William Williams.

When my Mum was a young baby she was left on the door step of William h Williams and his wife Mary. (They already had several children of their own) The story goes that they brought Mum us as one on their own children. And Mary and William Williams became my grandparents. But mum could never find out the truth about who her really parents wereso after she died I decided to search my family history. That is when I found out William Williams was Mums real father( according to her B. Cert), but he was already married to Mary so I cannot see how Louisa Johnson could have been married to him. Unless she was not telling the truth re the details she gave for the birth certificate. ( orhe wa a bigamist) I have never been able to trace anything else about Louisa Johnson and that is who I am trying to trace.

Are you saying William married Mary after your mother's birth? I am probably getting mixed up but it seems you are saying he married in 1906. If so he didn't have an affair while married! How do you know the 1906 marriage is him?

William henry Williams married Mary in 15th April 1894. (I have his wedding cert. My Mum was born 11th September 1903.

William Henry William's father Richard Williams (My great Grandfather) was the person who married for the second time in 1906 and his address at the time of his second marriage in 1906 was 99 Townsend Lane.

Yes I do have a copy of the 1911 Census with my mother the aged 8years old and living with William Henry Williams and his wife Mary and their children.
