Thanks to everyone who has replied. Sorry I had to leave the PC for a while as I'm in the middle of moving house. Flick, his mother was irish and came from Kings County. |

Thars correct Margee. Flick, I think his father was a Blacksmith? I'm not sure if they had work for iron workers in France at that time? I'm thinking Shipyards just because Dundee was a Shipyard port at that time? |

I see, according to the 1861 Scotland census his older sister, Margaret was also born in France in 1845. |

Can anyone help? Does anyone know how I can search for a french birth of a British Citizen in 1846? Also why would a scottish person move to France for work during this tim period? The person I am looking for is Daniel Davie born 1846 in France. |
