Hi, Lyndsay

Margaret's thread is dated last November so it might be best to send her a personal message by clicking on her name just in case she is not checking this one still.

I have the full (well almost) history of Richard and Sarah Bailey (my great great Grandfather and great great Grandmother.

There son William Valentine Bailey (my Great Grandfather) was Mayor of Malvern in 1904/05.

Happy to provide any other information you need?

Thank you for letting us know Margaret.

It did seem to be the right family but the wrong name so I wasn't sure.

Then, with the info Ginny posted on the Australian side, It just HAD to be them!

Nice to have it confirmed.

Thanks,

Dea x

Flick Report 14 Nov 2011 09:37

That was why I asked, as I can't see them, either.

Could you ask your cousin for birthplaces......particularly for the children

There isn't a marriage for the parents on freebmd, but they could, of course, have married before July 1837

Margaretfinch

Margaretfinch Report 14 Nov 2011 09:33

they emigrated to Australia sometime between 1852 and 1861
as far as I know they were living in Worthing sussex in the 1841 census but I can't find them on that either

Flick

Flick Report 14 Nov 2011 09:22

When did they 'migrate'?

Where were they living in 1841?

Where was each of these people born?

Margaretfinch

Margaretfinch Report 14 Nov 2011 09:07

Hi although I have ancestry a cousin has asked me if i can find this family
I have looked and looked but I can't find them can anyone else details below

I am looking for the following family in the 1851 Census return, living in
the District of Worthing, Sussex: BAILEY David, labourer, aged 33(born about
1818), his wife Sarah, the same age; sons Henry 11; Edward 6 and David 2.
These ages may be slightly different on the census.
They did move around a bit but always within Sussex until they migrated, as
far as I can tell."

Can you see them Thankyou
Margaret
