I’m trying to trace my maternal grandfather’s parents, and as I’m a novice at this, I’m a bit stuck!

My late Grandfather was Arthur Woodward, from Ibstock, Leicestershire. I’ve bought a copy of his birth certificate, which shows:
Date of birth: 2/6/1915
Father: Ernest William Woodward
Mother: Sarah Annie Woodward, formerly Mee.
Address 62 High Street Ibstock, Leics.

My grandad never spoke of his parents much, they both died quite young, before my mum was born. I know from my mum that his dad was only 36/37, and his mum was 52.

I’ve searched the marriage records and bought a copy of his parent’s marriage certificate, which shows:
Marriage: 28/11/1914, Ibstock Parish Church, Leics
Ernest William Woodward, aged 24, Ibstock, father’s name Arthur Woodward, a farmer.
Sarah Annie Mee, aged 27, Ibstock, father’s name Joseph Mee, a Bricklayer.

After searching the records, I’ve found what I’m pretty sure are Ernest & Sarah’s death records (the ages fit with my mum’s info above):

Ernest William Woodward, death Oct-Nov-Dec 1925, age 36. (Vol 7A, page 103)
Sarah A Woodward, death Jul-Aug-Sep 1939, age 52. (Vol 7A, page 101)
Thes are both registered at Market Bosworth district, which fits for Ibstock residents.

So, Ernest must have been born circa 1889/90 if the above is correct, but there are two possible Ernest Woodwards that I can find on the birth records around this time in Leicestershire:
1) Ernest William Woodward, Lutterworth district, Oct-Nov-Dec 1890, Vol 7A, Page 3.
2) Ernest Woodward, Market Bosworth district, Jan-Feb-Mar 1887, Vol 7A, Page 92. – Unless there are date errors, I doubt this would be him?

The only Sarah Mee birth record I can find is this:

Sarah Ann Mee, Ashby de la Zouch district, Jul-Aug-Sep 1886, Vol 7A, page 109. – This doesn’t quite tally to death/marriage records date wise.

I’d be very grateful indeed if anyone could help me make sure I’ve got the correct records before I buy the birth certificates, or offer any other advice.
