Initially I asked for a look up of the family in 1911. That was factual, and something I have found myself. That was the main purpose of this post. |

The info I have supplied is all taken from the website I posted here, and this is from a descendant of this branch of the family. I have no connection to this info other than the webpage so I don't know how validated it is etc. |

Peter, the info you gave doesn't quite fit. An extract says "james died when my grandfather was about 2 years old ". There's a few years out because we can see he's still alive on the 1901 when John was 5. |

Hi PricklyHolly; not sure I agree - Alice should on the 1911 with the name Stewart. Was the 1911 census taken in March? |

Which means all the time we have spent looking for James and Alice, we were never going to find them anyway!! :-S |

Hi MarieCeleste - ok, I am making this request from a request from another website, which states (a great grandson of James and Alice Stewart): |

Peter, I'm really struggling to find them in 1911. Do you know what happened to any of them? - It would give us something to work back from? |

Oh I see - in my rush to reply, I see you have included the family in 1901 NOT 1911. Thank you though - makes it easier for eveyone else, and I can't copy this info myself! |

PS Is there a mention of children born/died, and who signed the document and could they write? |

Thank you Marie Celeste; another marriage certificate to order! I think they married in Sunderland in 1891 - which would fit, but I suspect that the mother Alice, should of been born in Hartlepool, County Durham. Oh these webs that we sometimes find! |
