Hi,

I am interested in finding the descendants of my maternal great grandmothers sister, Ellen Gaskell born 1875, died 1968. Her occupation was a cotton weaver and she married Henry Davies from Holywell, Flint circa 1895 presumably. She may have moved up to Co. Durham after she was married.

Handed down in our family is a Long Service and Good Conduct medal to "7024 C. F. G. Davis L.S. R.N.R" a Leading Seaman in the Royal Navy Reserve and I am trying to find out if this man is part of our family, ie a distant cousin. If so I would like to find out if he has a service record and how to get a copy.
