I am looking for my great grandads brother Arthur Hollis who was born in 1890 in Hackney. His parents were Agnes Paterson and John William Hollis. I have his birth Certificate and have him on the 1901 census with his siblings. But what ever happened to him Im clueless. My aunt said she thought he died in the first world war. But I can't find any record of his existence after the 1901 census. Any help would be appreciated. |

Cheryl it would help make your post more readable if you highlighted and deleted the unimportant bits and empty spaces so as to make it more compact. |

Yes, just wondered, as Wapping, more Stepney, St. George East way, than Holborn, perhaps they couldn't remember at 1901 census time, lol. |

Yeah it can get a little confusing as there are quite a few mistakes on the 1901 census for them. Yeah I have been looking for him for ages I can't find him on the 1911 census. Although his father I wasn't able to find on the 1911 census when I typed in his name. It was only when I searched for Esther Hollis on the actual original transcript it has John William Hollis but it had a line through it. |
