HG was my paternal gt, gt. grandfather. He married a Sarah, born c1839, surname unknown so question 1, please? His parents were James Green b. 1792, Newark, Notts, and he married a Jane c, 1799, surname also unknown, so question 2, please. HG and Sarah moved to St. Albans, Herts. and the 1911 census shows them still living in their 70's. It also states that Sarah had 15 children, 11 still alive. I have only found 9 children: Flora, Lucy, Fred, Herbert, Kate, Enos, Sarah, Arthur (my gt, grandfather) and Alfred. So am searching to find details of the other 6, please. |

Harry looks to be the eldest born in 1862 Nottinghamshire and listed on the 1871 census and Ada born 1864 Hertfordshire and Clara born 1866 also in Herts |

Based on the 1861 census when they Henry and Sarah were living in Lambeth with no children I wonder if this was their marriage? |

Thank you all very much - this is all good and seems to fit perfectly. Also message to K - you helped me on 28.12.11 with Parfitt family. I got the marriage cert. and all that you submitted was correct -including the spelling of it as PARFITTY- so a big thanks for that as well. |

Yes. thanks Astra. I did spot Clara and Ada. My computer has a seizure - hence the delay and duplicated replies! I still seem to have 3 deceased children to find though if she did have 15 children. Presumably if they were born and died within the census years they will not be that easy to find? |
