In 1865 she gave birth to my great-grandfather .He was sent to live with his fathers family.She definately never married his father as he died in 1867.
I think this is her in 1871 on the cenus place of birth is Charlton Hampshire

I do not think she married Henry Earridge that Caroline was born 1856 Owlsbury .
Not sure what to think there is a Charlton in Berkshire but it may be her.

Just had a quick look .I cannot find a Caroline Cooper born Charlton Berkshire. So it is a possibility that was her in Marylebone. So that may be her death as well so might the others !!!!!!

Thank you for that information .Carolines father was called William. On census returns he is a farmer labourer but it is feasible he became a balliff. This doed look very promising .Just cannot find them on a census at the moment .But I am looking .

A possibility for CAroline in 1891 if she had become Mrs McDonald - he was younger than her according to the census above, so she might have "lost" a year or two

Thanks to all who have been helping me . It does seem at the moment that this could well be "my " Caroline . It is only the age given that is a worry but looking at 1881 I can only find one Caroline Cooper b.1852 Hampshire who was single and she was living in Southampton. So she could well have been knocking off a few years as us ladies like to !!! :-D
