Cheers for letting me know it means he was Naturlized after 1920

Thanks for clarifying the "na" mgnv - I learn something new on here every day!

Before I guessed NA stood for Not Applicable I went through all the states to see if NA was an abbreviation. Doh!

Na means naturalized, and Al means alien - normally only entered for foreign born folk
Incidentally, d.o.immig=1901

In the column on the 1930 census for naturalisation "na" is written on the line for William.

I'm guessing that means "not applicable" so perhaps he never became a US citizen.

If I recall correctly then the year and abbreviation for the state where it took place would be in that column.

The reason I asked about Naturlization records a friend got me Gustafv O Stromberg my gr granddad's and gave information which was pretty good

Yes that is who I think is him as army records have his wife as Louise

I found him with a Louise in 1920/1930 so think they got divorced or something like that

You say that you have found William in 1920 and 1930, where was he living at the time of the Census? Where was William Born?

Could some one please find these records for me please for a William E Stromberg born 26th October 1881 he might use Axel but I did find him on 1920 and 1930 cencus as William
