hugh bradford and amelia bradford divorce?

please can anyone help with explaining the written work on the divorce section on find my past.. Hugh W Bradford born1837 and amelia born 1837 she was born in stoke on trent and hugh in staffordshire in the 1881 census hes staying in a hotel and amelia is a boarder with her daughter elizabeth (1871) in stafford . I clicked on divorce on FMP but I dont understand the results they say there are 2 results for Bradford in 1880 which would fit but I dont understand the format help please, regards chris |

thanks im learning all he time thanks to all the helpers out there\. \i cant find Amelia in the 1891 census ive found a amelia bradford a widow born abt 1834 buts she a char women woldnt think she do that after being left that money in the will she living in surrey and the place of birth doesnt match either,The only death i can find for Amelia is in 1908 aged 69 June Q Reg.district Godstone Surrey Ive been on this couple for hours any chance you could help me, thanks chris |

I don't think the above death is yours - I have found an Amelia Bradford aged 68 in 1911, living Birmingham. |

Hi Brummiejan, the 2 deaths you found make Amelia born in 1843 in both cases, could there be so much age difference as im sure she was born 1837 thank you for helping,chris |

Hi Gins, I don't think Christine is thinking along divorce lines now. When I looked at the thread, it was all sewn up, except that Chris had said that she found the listings on FMP re divorce a bit obscure. Since I found these tricky when looking up the Boteler divorce on another thread, I thought I would add my thoughts on the layout of the divorce generally - and not to suggest that Christine's Hugh Bradford was involved -sorry for creating confusion..... |
