Dee I have sent a PM, I think!, asking for help with the Bridgewater family from the Diddlebury area. My ancestor was a John Bridgewater, (Various spellings), born Didddlebury c.1800. I would be interested in others of the same surname from the area. Many thanks for your offer Regards John

There are only two entries for the surname Bigg (no Biggs)
22/7/1779 Daniel Bigg - buried
29/4/1809 Elizabeth Bigg of this parish buried by J W Baugh, vicar
Hope they are useful to you.

Val. Just one more thing. I have noticed that there is a spelling of the surname Cock(e). Would you be wanting these? There was only the one Cox which I gave you before.
Let me know and I will take another look for you when I have 5 minutes!

Thats it! I think you need to check out the structure of years, I think I read somewhere that years did not go from Jan to Dec several hundred years ago, and certainly in these Diddlebury volumes they did not before 1753. However, from Jan 1754 onwards the years are January - December.
This should keep you busy for a while. Good luck with it all.
Regards Dee
