Hiya there please can l get a bit of help on the folling people l have fount the parents of sarah Hand birth 1757 birth in stoke on trent sarah dad is named Joseph hand and her mom is named Lydia pland joseph and lydia married on 26/2/1754 in Whitmore, stafford l dont have any birth year for them but l am guessing around the 1730s they may have been born l think they were born arount the staffrd/ staffordshire area l am looking for the correct birth years and is they had any children

Have you tried looking for the baptisms of Joseph and Lydia, in the same way that you looked for Sarah's?

There is a POSSIBLE baptism for Lydia on the IGI, which you would have to try to verify

l have done a search for both from 1725-1735 they are the only births for them names within that age range :-D

When you find a baptism, (Sarah's for example) look below the info to find a BATCH number

Click on the number, and a new window opens.

Put in the surname and the first names of the parents, in the appoprriate boxes, then click 'search'.

You get taken to the new site, with listings from the BATCH.

Scroll through till you find the records ( in this case they are on page 3)

Try it out with these people - so that you get the hang of doing it.

hiya this is what l have found so far l just need a few more bit filling in

Joseph Hand married Lydia Plant 26/2/1754

Joseph parents are--- Father Joseph Hand birth-------- l dont have is dad birth is mom is named Elizabeth --------------- Birth------------ l dont have a surname or a birth year for here l think she die though in 29/july 1802

Lydia Plant father is Thomas plant l dont have a birth year for him he married Sarah Bullock l dont have a birth for her either l know they married on the 17/ August 1732 all in the staffordshire aread

If the info isn't on the IGI, you will need to visit the County Records Office

Reggie it gives the info but l am a little un sure which one it is as some of them are like 2-3 year age difference and l dont live in s-o-t anymore so even if l visit the archaves and look at the parish records l will not know which one it is that why some one on here who is a little more experence in searching many be able to help he fill in the bit l cant find :-D
