Seems the James Ward R A, mentioned in Death notice of Sarah, was a famous Artist too. Google brings up a lot of bits and pieces. |

Thanks so much all of you. Yes i have downloaded the will but at the moment i cannot not understand much of it!!! Writing is a bit different from now! Haha. I have seen that Henry had another partner, wife? called Sarah whose surname was Wilson. They i think then had son called Henry too which shows that he must have had other children ( i think!!!) Soooo confusing!!! Thank you all very much just hope i get to work it out soon! |

You should use caution with Wikipedia, once upon a day any one could change or add information to pages. Don't know whether that is the case now!!!!! |

Just can't seem to go forward on the Henry Barnard Chalon until i know it is definitely the same one. So far all i have is the Henry whose was the artist. Do you think Wikipedia could be wrong? All the children have the same mother who was called Sarah and married to Henry. It's beginning to hurt my head!!! Haha. |

Hey Lynne, thank you very much for looking all this up for me. Can you see why I'm confused? wikipedia says there is only one child but Maria A seems to be the sister of all the others? Also when looking at records on Frederica and Edward's marriage one of the witnesses is a Maria Anne? Can't really read what her surname says though! |

Not really i am working from my great great great grandmother who was Emily Caroline Watson. It says her mother was Frederica Rebecca Watson whose maiden name was Chalon. (she married Edward Coats Watson in 1831.) It says Frederica's father is Henry Barnard Chalon but i'm just not sure if it's the artist or not? Hope this is making sense!! Thankyou for looking. |
